Biography

Clarence C. Grams, 92, Brainerd, passed away at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd on Tuesday, July13, 2010. He was born June 2, 1918 in Buffalo, Minnesota to Charles and Alice (Roloff) Grams. He married Cecelia Barten on September 28, 1940 in Onamia, Minnesota. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Clarence had many jobs including farming, mining, and custodian at Potlatch where retired from in 1980. He loved to garden and take grandchildren fishing. Cecelia & Clarence had been married for 69 years.

He is survived by: 1 son: Leon (Teresa) Grams of Nisswa
2 daughters: Eileen (Robert) Springer of Breezy Point
Sharon (Dennis) Estey of Hibbing
1 sister: Gen “Jean” (Karl) Goering of Maple Valley, Washington

Nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 sister and two brothers.

Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and 1 hour prior to service at church.

Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd.
