Rev. Harold A. Erickson, 81, passed away on July 28, 2010 at the Crosby Care Center with his family at his side. Pastor Harold was born on October 10, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MN to Alfred and Alma (Kjeldson) Erickson.
He served in the Marines during World War II being stationed stateside. On June 26, 1959 he married Rosalyn (Rosie) Nelson at Powderhorn Park Baptist Church in Minneapolis.
Pastor Harold was a minister at numerous churches throughout Minnesota including; Round Prairie Community Church, LaPorte Community Baptist Church, First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, Fosston Baptist Church, Temple Baptist Church in Brainerd, and Cushing Baptist. Pastor Harold and Rosie have now made First Baptist in Baxter their home. Pastor Harold also ministered at bible camps those include: Camp Joy, Dent, MN; Lake Branson Baptist Bible Camp and Camp Lebanon Baptist Bible Camp.
Upon his retirement from the church he worked at Walmart for 12 years. Rev. Harold loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables. He enjoyed spending time playing with his kids and grandkids. Together they enjoyed camping, sledding, and swimming.

Sister: Lois (Harold) Parrill, Denver, CO
Sister-in-law: Mary Erickson, Hoyt Lakes, MN
He is preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Kenneth Erickson; sister-in-law, Elsie Erickson; nephew, Tim Erickson.
Funeral services for Rev. Erickson will be on Monday August 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Baxter with Pastor David Grotzke officiating. Family and friends may gather at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8:30 PM to meet with the family and again on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #255.
